Key information
From this election, the number of Councillors elected to the Huon Valley Council will reduce from nine to seven. Nominations open 9am Monday 7 September and close 12 noon Monday 21 September 2026.

The Council Elections webpage also includes information for voters and details on how the election works. Elections are conducted independently by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission, which appoints returning officers to run the poll with the assistance of Council officers.
