Events

The Huon Valley is a hub of events, activities and iconic festivals.  From food to outdoor activities you will be able to find a host of things to do right here.

If you are planning an event or have an event already approved or in production, please send us the information and Council’s Community Liaison Officer will contact you with the appropriate application forms.

COVID-19 Information

In an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) through face-to-face contact, Council and community event organisers are taking measures to ensure that all events adhere to current restrictions on gatherings and physical distancing advice.

COVID-19 Safe Events and Activities

The Tasmanian Government has launched a Framework for COVID-19 Safe Events and Activities n Tasmania to support event organisers to plan and hold larger-scale COVID-19 safe events.

For more information on this Framework and supporting documents, please see links below:

WorkSafe Tasmania has a WorkSafe Advisory Service that can also provide help for preparing a COVID-19 Safety Plan. Please go to the WorkSafe Tasmania website for more information or ring 1300 366 322 (within Tasmania).
