Local events build social connections and contribute to the vibrancy and culture of the Huon Valley. Council supports community events through advice, permits, venue access, equipment loans and financial support.
Event permits — If your event is on Council-owned or managed land, or uses a Council road, you'll need an Event Permit. Apply using the form below.
Venues and facilities — Council has parks, sporting grounds, community halls and meeting rooms available for hire. See the Services & Facilities section for details.
Equipment — Outdoor games are available to borrow using the request form below. Council no longer provides minor equipment, but we may be able to connect you with a local group who can help. Traffic Management Plan signage is available for major annual events.
