The Women’s Health Clinic at Huon Valley Medical Services is growing, with Dr Tahira Tehreem joining the clinic ahead of our next session on Friday 11 September.
The clinic’s team now includes Registered Nurse Lisa Hall, Nurse Practitioner Gayle Rusher, Dr Melissa Catanzarite, and now Dr Tahira Tehreem — bringing together an even broader depth of experience and genuine passion for women’s health right here in the Huon Valley. Gayle and Dr Tehreem currently have appointments open, so there’s never been an easier time to book in.

Meet Dr Tehreem
Dr Tehreem brings a strong background in obstetrics and gynaecology to the Huon Valley, having spent a year in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at the Royal Hobart Hospital, alongside earlier training and experience overseas in the same field.
Her skills cover a wide range of women’s health needs, including Implanon insertion and removal, menopause management, and contraception advice. Dr Tehreem also has extensive experience managing antenatal care and providing comprehensive postpartum support.
Since moving into general practice in a rural setting, Dr Tehreem has found the work especially rewarding — giving local women access to specialised care close to home, without the need to travel to the city.
We’re proud to welcome Dr Tehreem to the Women’s Health Clinic team, joining Lisa, Gayle and Dr Catanzarite in continuing to grow local access to women’s health care.
