This video series from Circular Economy Huon highlights the innovative work of four Huon Valley businesses who are working creatively to reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a circular economy.
The videos were made by local filmmaker Annie Venables of Viking Films, with assistance from Mike Gissing.
Huon Valley Timber
Huon Valley Timber used to use gas to heat the wood kiln to dry timber, now they use waste wood from the mill thereby reducing costs and carbon emissions.
Paddock to Garment
Paddock to Garment is a local business, taking their own alpaca fleece, spinning and weaving it and turning it into beautiful garments.
Seed Freaks sow, grow and harvest open-pollenated heirloom plants and sell locally and online helping boost community and food resilience.
Duggans are a community minded earth-works and construction company seeking to lead through example. They have installed a 1000kw solar array.
