There is a plantation harvesting operation currently being done at Franklin, and as of next week log trucks will be using Chambers Road and Swamp Road.

A heavy vehicle permit has been obtained by the operator, Les Walkden Enterprises, to allow the use of these roads. It is anticipated that approximately 9 log trucks will be using the roads daily for an estimated period of 10 weeks. Vehicle speed for the trucks is not to exceed 40km/h.

On official school days, the trucks are not permitted to use Swamp Road during morning and afternoon school bus times. There will be no night time or weekend haulage.
