The Huon Valley Jobs Hub Single Authority (trading as the Southern Employment and Training Network) is seeking Expressions of Interest to fulfil current vacancies for two board director positions.

In October 2021, the State Government allocated $1.625 million over three years to the Huon Valley Council to facilitate the delivery of a regional jobs hub to service job seekers and business in the Huon Valley, Channel and Bruny Island region in partnership with the local community.

The Authority was established in 2022 in accordance with section 30 of the Local Government Act 1993 (Tas) to provide oversight delivery and coordination of activities in the Huon Valley and Kingborough regions that support the objective to increase employment, workforce participation or re-engagement with formal education and training.

Directors will have the ability to manage the financial and strategic affairs of the Authority and will be appointed by Council based on merit. Each Director shall be appointed for the remaining term of the Director positions being replaced which will conclude on 30 June 2025.

The Expressions of Interest process will be open for up to 14 days. Expressions of Interest are to address the skills, knowledge and experience set out in the Selection Criteria included in the EOI Information Pack. A copy of your resume should also accompany your application.
