Huon Valley Council, in partnership with TasWaste South, is hosting two free Household Hazardous Waste drop-off events on Saturday 23 May at convenient locations across the valley.
Drop-off locations and times
📍 Huonville – Southbridge Waste Transfer Station, 2899 Huon Highway
🕙 10:00am – 3:30pm
📍 Dover – Carpark opposite Dover RSL
🕙 11:00am – 2:00pm
What can I drop off?
- Old pesticides, herbicides and fungicides
- Cleaning solvents and degreasers
- Adhesives, resins and sealers
- Any other household chemical labelled “hazardous”
These events are a simple, convenient way to clear out unwanted hazardous items from your home while ensuring they are disposed of safely and responsibly.
