A group of people plant young trees in a grassy, hilly area on a sunny day. Some individuals bend down, working with green tree guards, while others stand nearby surrounded by trees and tall grass.

The Huon Valley is home to a huge amount of environmental work — from Landcare and waterway protection to composting, food growing, and coastal care. Much of it is led by passionate locals and community groups, quietly making a difference every day.

Council wants to better understand what’s happening across the Valley, what’s working, and what support might help this work grow and continue into the future.

We’d love to hear from you

We’re inviting anyone who cares for the environment in the Huon Valley to fill in a short survey — whether you’re part of a formal group, doing things on your own, or just getting started.

Your responses will help us build a clearer picture of environmental action across the region, understand what would be most useful to community members and groups, and explore how we can better connect and support this work going forward.

The survey takes around 5–10 minutes and is open until 6 July 2026
