Communities across the Huon Valley will be holding ANZAC Day services on Saturday 25 April 2026, providing opportunities to honour the service and sacrifice of veterans, past and present.
Services will be held in Judbury, Huonville, Cygnet, Franklin, Geeveston, Dover and Southport. All are welcome.
Judbury
- Memorial Service: 11:00am at the Judbury Community Centre
- Includes flag raising, public reflections and floral tributes
- Light refreshments will be provided
Huonville
- Dawn Service: 6:00am at the Cenotaph, Heron Street
- Community breakfast to follow at the Huon Ex-Servicemen’s & Women’s Club (gold coin donation to Legacy Tasmania)
- March: mustering in the Council car park behind the Town Hall at 9:45am, SES and volunteers will direct the March to leave at 10:00am along Main Street and conclude at the Cenotaph
- Morning Service: 10:15am at the Cenotaph
In the event of wet weather, the service will be held in the Baden Powell Scout Hall
Cygnet
- Dawn Service: 6:00am led by the Cygnet Scout Group
- Main Service: 11:00am at the Cygnet Cenotaph
- March: mustering at the Cygnet public car park on Mary Street at 10:45am, stepping off at 10:50am
- In the event of inclement weather, the Service will be held in the Town Hall
- All are welcome. Those laying wreaths are asked to wait until called forward
Franklin
- Dawn Service: 6:00am at the Soldiers’ Memorial on Huon Highway
- Parking available near the Bowls Club and Oval
- Please bring a torch and arrive 10 minutes early if laying a wreath
- Community breakfast to follow at the Franklin Bowls Club
Geeveston
- Dawn Service: 5:40am at the Cenotaph on Memorial Drive, followed by Shot Gun Breakfast served at 6:30am (a $5 donation is being asked to be paid to the club for breakfast)
- March: leaving opposite the Geeveston Community Church at 10:30am
- Main Service: 10:40am at the Cenotaph
- The SWOON concert starts at 2:00pm, main meals served from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Dover & Southport
- Dawn Service: 6:00am at the Dover Cenotaph
- March: 10:45am from outside the Dover RSL & Ex-Servicemen’s Club
- Main Service: 11:00am at the Cenotaph
- The Southport Fire Brigade will be conducting a Dawn Service at the Southport Fire Station 5:45am for a 6:00am start
