Freshly paved asphalt road with a concrete curb, leading uphill toward houses and greenery in the background. The sky is clear, and the area appears to be a quiet suburban or rural neighborhood.

Council’s annual road resealing program has now been completed, with 19,637 metres of sealed road across eight locations receiving a fresh seal.

The program kicked off in January with works on Duke Street, Geeveston, before crews moved through Ranelagh, Lonnavale, Franklin, Grove, Cygnet and Glendevie and Gardners Bay to complete the following roads:

  • Duke Street, Geeveston
  • North Huon Road, Ranelagh
  • Denison Road, Lonnavale
  • Coleman Street, Franklin
  • Gildering Lane, Grove
  • Guys Road, Cygnet
  • Cygnet Coast Road, Cygnet
  • Police Point Road, Glendevie

Resealing is one of the simplest but most effective ways Council protects the road network, sealing up small cracks before they turn into potholes and costly repairs. With this year’s program complete, these roads are set up for years of safer, smoother driving.

Council thanks residents and road users for their patience during the works, and for following the traffic management in place to keep everyone safe.
