Overview
Wayraparattee Child and Family Learning Centre is a safe and welcoming space for families with children aged 0–5 years, located in Geeveston in the heart of the Huon Valley. The centre provides a broad range of educational, health and support services for parents, carers and their young children, with a team of qualified and experienced staff on hand to help navigate the parenting journey.
Services and Sessions Include:
- A range of playgroups and sessions across the week, specifically catering for children aged 0–5
- Drop-in play space, open weekdays 8:30am – 3:00pm (closing at 1:30pm on Thursdays)
- Specialised Aboriginal Early Years education opportunities
- A variety of parenting courses, information and sessions
- Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS)
- Paediatric appointments via Royal Hobart Hospital Paediatrics and Kids Care Clinic
- Psychology services
- Speech and language therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Social workers
- Visiting Early Childhood Inclusion Service (ECIS)
- Visiting Women’s Legal Service
- Visiting Centrelink and Service Tasmania representatives
