Overview

Wayraparattee Child and Family Learning Centre is a safe and welcoming space for families with children aged 0–5 years, located in Geeveston in the heart of the Huon Valley. The centre provides a broad range of educational, health and support services for parents, carers and their young children, with a team of qualified and experienced staff on hand to help navigate the parenting journey.

Services and Sessions Include:

  • A range of playgroups and sessions across the week, specifically catering for children aged 0–5
  • Drop-in play space, open weekdays 8:30am – 3:00pm (closing at 1:30pm on Thursdays)
  • Specialised Aboriginal Early Years education opportunities
  • A variety of parenting courses, information and sessions
  • Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS)
  • Paediatric appointments via Royal Hobart Hospital Paediatrics and Kids Care Clinic
  • Psychology services
  • Speech and language therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Social workers
  • Visiting Early Childhood Inclusion Service (ECIS)
  • Visiting Women’s Legal Service
  • Visiting Centrelink and Service Tasmania representatives
