Overview

VMR Kingborough โ€” Volunteer Marine Rescue plays a vital role in promoting safety, education and awareness within the boating community of southern Tasmania, including the Huon Valley’s extensive coastline and waterways.

Located at Kettering on the shores of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, our dedicated volunteers provide marine rescue emergency response and support emergency services across approximately 560 kilometres of coastline and waterways โ€” 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Whether you are a recreational boater, fisher or mariner exploring the stunning waters of the Huon Valley and surrounds, VMR Kingborough is here to keep our community safe on the water.
