Overview
U3A Cygnet is a non-profit, volunteer-run learning community for retired and semi-retired people, offering a friendly and informal environment to pursue new skills, interests and experiences. There are no entry qualifications, exams or awards — just a love of learning!
Founded in 1991, U3A Cygnet offers a wide variety of lectures and activities covering topics such as music, film, science, history, literature and art. Regular groups and activities include:
- Play reading group
- Writers’ groups
- Drawing for beginners
- Art for continuers
- Garden & Gourmet Group (spring and autumn terms)
- Book Clubs
- Family History Groups
- Men’s Forum
As a volunteer-run organisation, costs and fees are kept low. Visitors are always welcome!
