Overview
Highland Getaway Farm Stay is located in a peaceful country setting in the Huon Valley, a scenic 35-minute drive from Hobart. It’s a working farm breeding Highland cattle, with alpacas and silkie chickens also on site.
The property offers two self-contained suites, styled as boutique accommodation for couples, located as a private wing at each end of the homestead. A separate Farm Stay House suits families or groups travelling together. Complimentary Wi-Fi, Netflix, continental breakfast and a farm tour are included with a stay.
Farm tours are also available as a standalone day visit, though spots are limited as priority is given to overnight guests, and bookings are essential. Tours give guests the chance to get up close to the Highland cattle and their calves, including brushing them, as well as visiting the alpacas, with transport around the property provided in 6-seater ATVs and numbers limited to 10 people per tour.
