Overview
Geeveston Community Centre (known locally as GeCo) is a welcoming, community-led hub in Geeveston, providing inclusive programs, activities and support services that strengthen connection and wellbeing across the Huon Valley. GeCo offers a range of workshops, events and community initiatives designed to respond to local needs, foster social inclusion, and build skills and resilience. Working in partnership with local organisations and service providers, Geeveston Community Centre plays an important role in promoting access to services, encouraging participation, and supporting a vibrant, connected community.
What we offer:

Food relief (fresh produce and bread) is available weekly on Thursdays donated by Loaves & Fishes

Emergency food relief (pantry staples, pet food, frozen meals and toiletries) available monthly on request
- Jumpstart learner driver mentor program
- 26Ten adult literacy and numeracy support
- Needle and syringe program
- NILS applications
- IT help is available Tuesday and Friday by appointment
- Opportunities to learn new skills (art and craft, music forum, community workshop)
- Opportunities for connection (strength classes, Mahjong, Qi Gong, U3A, community garden, volunteering)
- Practical resources (laundry and shower facilities, computers and internet access, library, commercial kitchen)
