Your Role in Shaping the Huon Valley
As the Technical Officer – Strategic Land Use Planning you will:
- Provide technical planning support to deliver the Huonville ReImagined project
- Interpret and apply state, regional and local planning frameworks to guide master planning and precinct planning outcomes
- Coordinate stakeholders, consultants and community engagement to keep the project moving to schedule
- Contribute technical input to master plans, precinct plans and design guidelines shaping the look and feel of the Huon Valley’s public spaces
What You will Bring:
To thrive in this role, you will have the following:
- A relevant qualification in planning, architecture, design or project management, and/or extensive practical experience in the field
- A solid understanding of Tasmania’s land use planning system and the ability to interpret and apply strategic planning frameworks
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of work and competing priorities
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with proven experience coordinating projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning software such as ECM, ArcGIS, LISTMap and Pathway
