Huon Valley Medical Services – Geeveston and Dover
- Starting wage $88,868 (pro rata) + 25% Casual Loading ($56.12 per hr)
- 15% employer contribution
The Role
As the Registered Nurse you will:
- Perform clinical duties in accordance with best practice including, triage, wound and chronic disease management, assist GPs with procedures and conduct health assessments, including home-based
- Maintain patient documentation and ensure appropriate cold chain and infection control
- Ensure the appropriate sterilisatisaion and maintenance of clinical equipment
- Provide support, and at times relief to Medical Centre reception staff
Skills & Experience
What You will Bring:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and current registration with AHPRA
- Experience working in primary health care, preferably in community-based roles
- Skills and experience in home-based health assessment
- High level of care coordination and referral skills
- Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes and asthma management, and enhanced primary care items
- Knowledge of infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment and drugs
