The Role

As the Recreation Services Officer you will:

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of high-quality sporting and recreational facilities in the Huon Valley
  • Provide high level assistance to the Recreation Services Team
  • Support the implementation of Council’s Recreation Plan, playgrounds strategy and marine facilities Strategy
  • Supervise Cemetery Caretaker and cemetery day to day operations

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Completion of relevant certificate or diploma level qualification and/or relevant extensive practical experience
  • High level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to use own initiative
  • Proficiency in computerised systems and programs including Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Proven ability of fostering collaborative teamwork within diverse environments
