The Role

As the Recreation Centres Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and operational oversight of Council’s recreation centres and aquatic facilities, including Port Huon Sports & Aquatic Centre, Huonville Swimming Pool, and Cygnet Sports Centre.

You will:

  • Lead, mentor, and support facility teams across all three sites
  • Drive service quality, financial performance, and community engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sporting clubs, schools, and the broader Huon Valley community
  • Oversee operational compliance, maintenance planning, and project delivery

What You will Bring:

You will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in recreation or aquatic facility management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, community-focused environment
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Accreditation, Working with Vulnerable People card, Level 2 First Aid Certificate, and a National Police Check (or the ability to obtain)
