The Role

We are looking for an organised, customer-focused administrator to join our Building and Plumbing team. In this role you will:

  • Be the backbone of our Building and Plumbing Unit, providing essential administrative support that keeps everything running smoothly
  • Keep track of building and plumbing applications from start to finish, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and deadlines are met
  • Be the friendly first point of contact for customers, helping them navigate building and plumbing requirements with clarity and confidence

Skills & Experience

You will be perfect for this role if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience working within a busy small team environment
  • A relevant certificate or diploma qualification, or solid hands-on experience in administration where you have genuinely excelled
  • An understanding of Local Government operations would be great, but if you are a quick learner with strong administrative skills, we will support you to develop this knowledge
  • Excellent organisational skills – you can juggle multiple tasks, stay calm under pressure, and still remember the small details that matter
  • A genuine passion for customer service and the ability to communicate clearly with everyone from tradespeople to the public
  • Confidence using technology including Microsoft 365, records management systems, and mapping software
