A black pirate flag with a white skull and crossbones above two crossed swords waves on a flagpole against a cloudy sky.

Ahoy, mateys! To celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day and our wonderful community, the Surges Bay Supporters are hosting a Community Pirate Party! All pirates, scallywags, seadogs and landlubbers of all ages be welcome.

Dust off your pirate hats, eye patches and striped shirts, dress-ups are strongly encouraged! Join us for a fun evening of community, laughter, good company, and perhaps a few sea shanties along the way.

This is a chance for our volunteers to put down the tea towels and enjoy a relaxed night celebrating with the community we love so much.

Yo ho ho – we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

  • BYO drinks (rum and other drinks welcome)
  • Bring a plate to share if you can (canteen will be closed for the evening)
  • Sea shanties welcomed and encouraged – with live shanties on the night from the Josephines
