The Role

As the Principal Climate Change you will:

  • Lead transformative climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives to future-proof our region
  • Drive strategic climate resilience planning and infrastructure assessments
  • Build powerful collaborations across Council and community stakeholders
  • Translate complex climate science into practical local solutions
  • Shape Council’s environmental policies and decision-making

Skills & Experience

You’ll bring:

  • Diploma or tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, climate change or related discipline and / or relevant practical experience.
  • Deep understanding of climate science, resilience building, and community-based planning
  • Outstanding ability to communicate climate science to diverse audiences and influence positive change
  • Strong project management skills and digital literacy
