Young green plants grow in rows of black plastic pots filled with soil. The background is blurred, drawing focus to the seedlings in the foreground. Some white plant tags are visible among the pots.

To celebrate National Landcare Week, Council’s Natural Resource Management Team and volunteers from the Huon Landcare Nursery are giving away free native plants for your garden. All plants are locally occurring species propagated by Huon Valley Landcare nursery volunteers, so they’re perfectly adapted to local conditions and easy to grow.

Come along, grab your free plant, and have a chat to local Landcare volunteers or get expert advice on weeds and native vegetation from Council’s Natural Resource Management staff. One free plant is available per person, while stocks last.
