From Tuesday 24 February 2026, Council will undertake facility upgrades at the Mosquito Point Kayak Platform on Helen Street, Ranelagh. This project is part of Council’s ongoing investment in improving recreational facilities and accessibility across the region.
The works will include construction of an additional lower deck, steps, handrail, and kayak entry rail to enhance safety and accessibility at the site. These improvements will enable better utilisation of the facility during the summer months when river heights are low.
Works commencing: Tuesday, 24 February 2026
Expected completion: Monday, 16 March 2026
Please note: The Mosquito Point Kayak Platform will be closed to public access for the duration of the works. We recommend visiting alternative recreational facilities in the area during this period.
