This road is part of Council’s annual sealed road resealing program.

Resealing is a proactive maintenance treatment that helps prevent potholes and cracks from forming in the road surface. If left untreated, small cracks allow water to seep into the road pavement, which weakens the road and leads to costly repairs.

Resealing involves:

  • repairing surface defects like potholes or other deformations
  • spraying a new layer of bitumen onto the road surface
  • creating a fresh, waterproof barrier to protect the underlying pavement.

Most sealed roads are resealed approximately every 10 to 15 years to extend their life and maintain safety.
