Huon Valley Medical Services is proudly owned and operated by Huon Valley Council. Comprising of Dover and Geeveston Medical Clinics providing General Practice and Allied Health services as well as GP support for the Esperance Multi-Purpose Health Centre.

The Role
As the Manager Medical Services you will:
- Lead operational management of Council’s Medical Centres, delivering high-quality primary healthcare to the Huon Valley community
- Manage a multidisciplinary team including GPs, Practice Nurses, Registrars and administrative staff
- Maintain AGPAL practice accreditation and teaching site status in line with RACGP and ACRRM standards
- Recruit and retain General Practitioners and oversee Registrar and medical student placements
- Manage financial performance, PIP/WIP compliance, and identify practice growth opportunities
Skills & Experience
You will be perfect for this role if you have:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a relevant field and/or extensive experience in medical practice management
- Proven leadership in managing healthcare teams, budgets and human resources
- High level communication and conflict resolution skills with doctors, staff, patients and healthcare stakeholders
- Strong understanding of medical practice operations, accreditation requirements and rural healthcare delivery
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and medical practice management software
