The Role

As the Health and Wellbeing Advisor you will:

  • Connect authentically with communities to identify health and wellbeing strengths and opportunities
  • Act as a trusted connector between individuals, services and government agencies
  • Enable community-led actions, including advocacy, to promote local health and wellbeing
  • Build social capital, through mapping and connecting of community assets including people, groups, organisations and networks
  • Create connections between people with shared health and wellbeing interests and facilitate peer-to-peer support networks

Skills & Experience

What You will Bring:

  • Strong ability to build trust and maintain authentic relationships with diverse community members
  • Understanding of sustainable community development principles and practice
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with strong relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approaches and rural community development (desirable)
  • Network facilitation and partnership development skills
