Electric vehicle drivers in the Huon Valley have some great news – the EV charger in the Main Street Huonville carpark received an exciting upgrade!
The Huon Valley Council partnered with Electrona to install a new fast charger, replacing the existing slow charger. The upgrade means drivers are able to top up their vehicles much more quickly – perfect for a quick charge while enjoying Huonville’s shops, cafés, or riverside walks.
By working with Electrona, Council can ensure the charger remains reliable, with expert maintenance and quick repairs whenever needed. Electrona’s dedicated service will help keep Huonville’s EV infrastructure running smoothly for both residents and visitors.
The new charger operates on a fee‑for‑service basis, consistent with Electrona’s regular pricing schedule. Partnering with a specialist provider allows Council to focus on its core community services, while still supporting the growth of sustainable transport options across the region.
Council also welcomes other providers interested in expanding EV charging infrastructure in the Huon Valley to get in touch and explore opportunities to further strengthen our local network.
