The Cygnet Community Children’s Centre is delighted to present an evening with Lisa Ford, a Clinical Psychologist from The Resilience Co. Lisa will be discussing anxiety in children, offering us insights and strategies that support our children.

In this workshop we’ll gain a deeper understanding and develop a toolbox of practical strategies to enable children to reframe their anxiety and more.

Lisa will dive into the following topics throughout the evening:

  • explore how anxiety can show up for children
  • understand more about the fight, flight and freeze response
  • work out ways to create an environment that supports anxious children to thrive
  • explore what the cycle of avoidance looks like
  • discover simple ways children can take back control of their anxious feelings
  • discuss how to find BRAVE and step alongside our fears

About Lisa Ford:

Lisa Ford is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 year’s experience working with children, adolescents, parents and educators. As a mother to three children herself, she offers practical advice and deep understanding.
