Seaweed and kelp washed up on a rocky shoreline, with ocean waves gently rolling in under sunlight. The water glistens as it flows around the dark green and brown seaweed.

A Huon Valley workshop by Nearipah Dreaming

Join us for a workshop to bring community together in a safe, inclusive, and creative space. Focusing on using waste found on local beaches, such as plastics, driftwood, fishing line, shells, sea glass and other discarded materials, to spark creativity, reduce waste, and create something meaningful and beautiful.

The workshop will blend environmental awareness with cultural storytelling, encouraging participants to connect with Sea Country, share knowledge, and celebrate our collective responsibility as caretakers of land and sea. By repurposing ocean waste into art, we not only protect Country but also build community pride and inspire change.

Together, we’ll turn trash into treasure and bring people together in the process.

There is a small charge of $30 per person which will include all materials and afternoon tea.
