Part 1: Learning Session – Understanding what goes into completing an ACD
Saturday 25th of October 2025 – 2pm – 4:45pm (includes a cuppa break)
- Learn about advance care planning and what an ACCD covers
- Explore medical, personal and spiritual choices you may wish to record
- Hear from Experts in heath, palliative care and end-of-life planning
- Ask questions in a safe, supportive environment
Part 2: Finalising your Plan – Support to finalise your own ACD
Saturday 6th of December 2025 – 2pm – 4:45pm (includes cuppa break)
- Step-by-step help to complete your Advanced Care Directive
- Guidance on getting it signed and legally recognised
- Access to expert advice on medical , spiritual and end-of-life questions
- Take-home resources on palliative care and end-of-life options
- You make a booking with the Digital Ready for Daily Life Team at GeCo to get help uploading to MYGOV
Your workshop Leaders:
Bec Lyons, President of the Australian Home Funeral Alliance and Owner of Solace End of life Solutions.
Bec Lyons worked in the funeral industry from 2011. In 2017 she left to retrain as an End-of- Life-Doula and become an independent Funeral Director. Co-founding You n’ Taboo (an education and advocacy service) and Solace End of Life Services, she has worked in home-based death care and family led funerals ever since.
Caroline Farquhar, Owner of Counselling Wellbeing Connection
Caroline is a Private Counsellor running Counselling, Wellbeing and Connection, but is also a vocal community advocate who runs support groups in the Huon Valley. Caroline’s quest is to guide individuals on a journey to build confidence, solve problems, recognise strengths, and understand themselves at a deeper level, fostering personal growth, connection, optimism, and self-respect through empathy.
