Join two Huon Valley locals as they share their perspective on remaining hopeful even when the going gets tough.
Join us for an inspiring evening of community, conversation, and powerful storytelling as we explore the themes of hope and resilience through two extraordinary lived experiences.
Our speakers for the evening are Bob Brown and Nigel Brennan.
For more than 50 years, Bob Brown has stood at the forefront of environmental activism, challenging powerful interests that place profit before the planet. From the Franklin River campaign to global climate advocacy, Bob continues to lead with courage, conviction, and optimism – demonstrating that hope is not passive, but something we actively choose and fight for.
Nigel Brennan survived 463 days in captivity after being kidnapped in Somalia while working as a photojournalist. His story is one of endurance, perspective, and the strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity. Through his experience, Nigel offers profound insights into resilience, gratitude, and rebuilding after trauma.
Together, these two remarkable speakers will share stories that challenge, inspire, and remind us of the power of hope in uncertain times. We invite you to come together for this very special event.
Zinnia Blue will be performing. There will be drinks and dinner available for purchase on the night, as well as a silent raffle.
