Established in 1992, A Taste of the Huon is one of Southern Tasmania’s longest running and most beloved outdoor festivals. For over three decades, thousands of visitors have gathered each year to celebrate the rich bounty of the Huon Valley and The D’Entrecasteaux Channel regions – through local food, beverages, art, craft, and exceptional live entertainment.

What began as a simple showcase of local produce has blossomed into a vibrant two-day event that captures the heart and soul of the region.

In 2026, A Taste of the Huon returns to its roots – celebrating the people, produce and talent that make the Huon Valley, Channel and Bruny region unique. With a refreshed layout, themed zones, and new ways to experience local food, art and entertainment, the festival will offer an authentic showcase of community spirit and regional pride.
