Huon Valley Council recognises that local events build social connections and contribute to the overall vibrancy and culture of our community.
Council provides support to local community events through advice, permits to use Council land or roads, access to venues, equipment loans and financial support. Support with Traffic Management Plan signage is available for major annual events. Loaning Outdoor Games is available, and a link to a request form can be found in the Event Guide below. Council no longer provides minor equipment to events, but may be able to connect you to an existing group who can help.

Huon Valley Council have a range of facilities available for public use, from parks and sporting grounds, through to community halls and meeting rooms. You can find more information on the facilities we have available for hire in the Services & Facilities section of our website.
If you plan to hold an event on Council owned or managed land or use a Council road, you will require an Event Permit from Council, application below.
