Huon Valley Council is pleased to announce applications are open for Quick Response Grants aimed at strengthening the region’s vibrant community and creative sector by helping bring local ideas to life quickly and effectively.

Quick Response Grants between $500 to $1,000 are available through two programs.

  • Community Quick Response Grants Program provides funding for individuals, community groups, and organisations delivering initiatives that promote community wellbeing, celebrate local identity, and strengthen social connections.
  • Creative Huon Quick Response Grants Program supports artists, performers, writers, and creative groups to deliver projects that inspire, engage, and enrich the Huon Valley’s cultural life.

Huon Valley Council Mayor Sally Doyle encouraged the community to take up the opportunity.

“We’re proud to support projects that make a real difference to people’s lives. Whether it’s a creative initiative or a project that brings our community closer together, we encourage individuals, groups, and organisations to apply.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity for community-driven projects to gain the financial support they need to make a positive impact across the Huon Valley.” Mayor Doyle said.

Applications for both programs are open now and will close on Monday 16 June 2025 or as soon as all funds are allocated.

Detailed information about eligibility, funding categories, and how to apply can be found on the Huon Valley Council website at Creative Huon Quick Response Grants – Huon Valley Council
