Scholarships of up to $5,000 are now available for Huon Valley residents studying in health services.

Every year the Greg Norris Memorial Health Scholarship assists Huon Valley residents studying in the field of medicine, nursing or allied health. The scholarship supports the development of a health workforce that is community-focused, culturally responsive, and committed to serving the diverse needs of Huon Valley residents.

Named after former Mayor Greg Norris, an advocate for improved Huon Valley health services in the early 1990s, the scholarship intends to encourage residents to obtain a health services qualification and practise in the Huon Valley.

The scholarship is a great example of Huon Valley Council’s commitment to lifelong learning, innovation, and the sustainability of health services in our community.

Applications open Tuesday 10 March 2026 and close Sunday 19 April 2026.
