Meeting Room Fee is to be used when the venue is rented for a meeting, with 15 or less attendees, rather than an event or activity to a non-profit community organisation or group
Health and Wellbeing Rate is to be used when the venue is rented for the purpose of conducting activities that contribute to the health and wellbeing of the local community
Arts and Culture Rate is to be used when the venue is rented for the purpose of conducting arts and culture activities that benefit the local community
Community Group Rate is to be used when the venue is rented for an event or activity to a local non-profit community organisation or group.
Health and Wellbeing Rate, Arts and Culture Rate and Community Development or Bona Fide Community Group Rate are to be applied when the venue is rented for an event or activity that does not aim to generate profit. Final discretion sits with the relevant Hall Committee.
If a Hall or Meeting room is utilised more than once a week by the same user, the hire fee can be discounted by 25%. This does not apply to the Health and Wellbeing, Arts and Culture, Community Benefit or Bona Fide Community Group Rate.
In instances where the application of the above fees upon a group would cause undue hardship such as to preclude the viability of conducting an event, application may be made to the Director of Community Services for consideration of a reduction or waiver in the set fee.
In instances where a booking has been made at a quoted rate, the hirer will be charged that rate if the hire takes place within 6 months of the fees and charges varying. This provides hirers with 6 months notice to any change in hire fees.
