The Role

As the Assistant Manager Recreation Services you will:

  • Oversee operations of sport facilities, centres, playgrounds and cemeteries
  • Guide the Recreation Services team through ongoing development and improvement
  • Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships with sporting and recreation organisations
  • Ensure optimum financial performance of Council’s recreational commercial operations
  • Liaise with all levels of Government to maximise all opportunities to improve recreation in the Huon Valley.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification or extensive hands-on recreation industry experience
  • Experience guiding teams through growth and innovation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to build lasting community partnerships
  • Excellent communication skills and natural problem-solving ability
