It’s Almost Winter, come celebrate its impending arrival with a blazing bush dance bash at the Cygnet Town Hall!
Music for the night is by local folk legend Ross Smithard and his band, Up Jumped Trouble. Get ready for some cracking old-time fiddle tunes and swinging dances!
Can’t dance? Yes you can! Don’t know how? The dances are fun, easy and inclusive, moves are demonstrated and all dances are called by Ross. Don’t have a partner? No worries – there’s always someone to dance with, and bush dances are notoriously friendly places.
No more excuses! Grab your family, friends, or come by yourself and head on down to the Cygnet Town Hall in the beautiful Huon Valley to usher in winter.
Music kicks off at 6.30pm, but food will be available from 6pm by local foodsters “Yee Haw Cake and Curry Stall”, hearty curries and snacks with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drinks, with tables and seating available. We do ask that you take home what you bring and don’t forget your water bottle, because dancing is thirsty work!
