Invasive Animals

European Rabbits, European Wasps, Feral Cats

Invasive animals are those which are not native to Tasmania and could aggressively invade and establish in the state if they gain a foothold or are freely allowed to spread.

A range of invasive animals pose a serious threat to biodiversity in Tasmania and have the potential for significant impacts on the state’s unique wildlife, environment and agriculture.
