Huon Valley Children’s Services is pleased to announce that enrolments are now open for its Pre-Kinder program for children turning four in 2020.

Commencing on Tuesday 11 February 2020, the program will run from Monday to Friday (subject to enrolment numbers) 9am–3pm during public school terms at Outside School Hours Care, 91–93 Main Street, Huonville.

Family orientation session
A family orientation morning will be held on Friday 7 February 2020 from 10am–12 noon to provide families with information about the program and allow time to meet the session leader Valerie Kirby.

Child Care Subsidy
Parents who are new to child care will need to apply for Child Care Subsidy before the program starts. The amount of Child Care Subsidy families are entitled to is determined by an activity test, and there are exemptions to the activity test for individuals who cannot meet the activity test requirements, such as parents with a disability and carers. To apply, please contact Centrelink on 13 61 50 or visit the Department of Human Services website.
