Community Grants – Now Closed

The people of the Huon Valley are well known for their strength and resilience in the face of adversity, we are Stronger Together.

Whilst this crisis has disrupted our usual way of life, it has also forced us to look out for each other.

Now and into the future we need to keep working together to support our neighbours and help our communities become even stronger than before.

Council is committed to recognising local skills, strengths and resources and supporting individuals, groups, clubs and organisations to be active in a variety of recovery initiatives.

Funding of up to $1,000 is available for activities that build capacity, strength and resilience in the Huon Valley Community.  A total pool of $30,000 will be made available until the funds are exhausted.  Funds will be split across 3 priority areas:

  • $15,000 for community projects
  • $10,000 for creative projects
  • $5,000 for youth focused projects
