Tasmanian Carer Voices: Carers Strategy Action Plan – Geeveston/Dover

Carers play a vital role in providing care, support, and assistance to people with ongoing illnesses, disability, mental illness, and older and frail people.

Carers may be young, old, identify as LGBTIQ+, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI), or be from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD). They may themselves be living with an ongoing illness or disability and live in regional or remote areas. In short anyone could be a carer or find themselves in a caring role.

The Tasmanian Government is reviewing the Tasmanian Carers Action Plan 2017- 2020.

Carers Tasmania is providing an opportunity for all carers to express their views on the Tasmanian Carers Action Pan and the areas that have worked and the areas that need to be strengthened.

We will provide an overview of the current action plan and timeframe for the review as well as provide an opportunity for you to provide your views on what should be included in the new strategy and plan and how you can be involved.

PLEASE RSVP on 03 6144 3703, or book your tickets here by 13 January 2021 so we can arrange morning tea.
