Part of the Huon Valley Food Hub Harvest Program 2023

Come eat and be merry, then stay to watch a film on the big projector screen!
Attendance is by donation, pay what you can afford. If you can’t afford anything, come along for free (but still reserve your place by booking here). Everyone coming along and getting a good feed is more important than money.
We’re serving up good, hearty, simple food made by homestyle cooks Jo Thalmann, Bruce Baker and others. We want to show you how you can prepare these simple meals so you can add the recipes to your budget-friendly meal options.
Not sure what to do with some of the local fresh produce? Don’t worry, we’ve got some cooks along to give you some ideas. Everything will be affordable and made using loads of local fresh produce.
The meal will include a starter, a main and a dessert.
When you have more than you need build a bigger table – not a higher fence.
If you have dietary requirements please let us know in advance and we will see what we can do to cater to them.
Please bring your own plate, mug or bowl and cutlery, so that there isn’t a big load of washing up at the end of the night. Please book and make separate donations.
Then after dinner we’ll watch the ‘Too Good To Waste’ film produced by EatWell Tasmania.
