Part of the Huon Valley Food Hub Harvest Program 2023
Can we talk about the Cygnet community without mentioning Jason Andrew Smith and his powerful work in spreading the knowledge of cultural burning through community workshops? What better way to celebrate Cygnet and the surrounding area than a workshop with Jason?
Proud Palawa man Jason Andrew Smith, whose work with the Cygnet community to spread the knowledge of cultural burning practices has changed the landscape and created greater community connection, will be running a fire workshop.
If you’ve never been to one before, or if you’re an old hand, come along and connect with community and celebrate millennia old traditions that call in the harvest of the oldest living culture on earth.
