Chalk Haiku is an public art project by Balfour House, coming to Cygnet in August and Huonville in September 2020.
The communities of Cygnet and Huonville are invited to write and share haiku poetry about their experience of ‘now’ during this unusual COVID-19 experience.
All haiku submitted will be featured in a community anthology at Balfour House Arts Centre.
Selected haiku will be made into stencils and installed on the walls, windows or paths of participating businesses and organisations. A water based spray chalk will be used to create a temporary display of haiku.
If you can’t make a writing session, you can submit your haiku online here.
If you would like to join the Chalk Haiku volunteer team, if your business is interested to have haiku on display on walls, windows or paths, or if you have any questions on how to participate, contact email@example.com or call 0400 867 509.
