Following the outstanding success of the 2020 Castle Forbes Bay Recreation Club Art Exhibition last January and the massive local interest, it is no surprise that due to popular demand a second Exhibition has been scheduled.
The exhibition is set to usher in 2021 as an exciting year for artistic expression with an emphasis on encouraging everyone to release their creative talent and produce an enjoyable work in their chosen medium. The show is being curated by Robyn Kazda from Port Huon. She successfully exhibited her own paintings and drawings last year and has some great ideas to promote the joy of art and how to get started.
Once again, a range of pieces from sculpture to jewellery, from oils to watercolours to woodturning will be on display with most available for purchase. The participating artists are locals and include the highly credited Jill Edwards, Jack Braudis, Bob Frost, John Osborne, Russell Prescott, Dee Woolley, Marty Van Bladel, Joanne Payne and Peter Graham (winner of the Geeveston Art Show 2020). Other accomplished artists have also expressed an interest in exhibiting, so by January we can be assured of a varied display of skill full works.
In conjunction with the appreciation of the art works, there is the “active” side! Free morning cuppa with cake will be available between 10:30 & 11am, live music from 11:30, meet the artist 11 – 12, 10:00 – 3:00 Kids colouring in books, Everyone painting on the “Huon Valley” mural and tiles which they can take home.
During all this activity, the BBQ will be churning out delicious snags and burgers, available for purchase, to keep energy and concentration levels at peak performance.
