Join us for a FREE community celebration welcoming our seasonal workers from the Pacific Islands!

Time: 5pm to 9pm

📌 Location: Huon Valley PCYC carpark

If you would like to contribute, please bring a dessert

Activities include:

  • Welcome to Country by South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation (SETAC)
  • Ava ceremony by the Samoan Community
  • Welcome by the Huon Valley Mayor
  • Traditional Samoan umu by Samoan Community
  • Traditional Australian BBQ by Huonville Lions Club
  • Performance by Pacific Islander communities and local choirs (Little Boat Choir and Cygnet Song Circle)

Stop by from 12pm midday to view the preparation of the umu feast.
