In February 2018 Huon Valley Council and MAST identified deterioration of the existing walkway at the Southport Boat Ramp and the need for an extension to the existing boat ramp to service the increasing demand.
This project will see the replacement of the current walkway and widening of the boat ramp.

STATUS UPDATE 13/02/2019:
Marine and Safety Tasmania wishes to advise members of the public the Southport boat ramp will be closed from Monday 18th February until Friday 29th March 2019 to allow for upgrading works.
Alternate launching is available at Dover and Catamaran.
